Cyber Mentor Dojo releases new features to accelerate learning and employment opportunities in cybersecurity
London, UK, February 2022 – Cyber Mentor DoJo (CMD), a free cyber security mentorship and training community, today launched a new highly interactive platform designed to create immersive, personal interaction between mentors and mentees.
Founded in 2021, the platform has been updated to include a host of new features including inbuilt calendar and scheduling, in addition to in-app video mentoring sessions. Additionally, CMD is on track to have over 10,000 members by the end of 2022, evolving within and beyond the U.S, Europe and Asia.
“With our membership numbers increasing by the day and the growing number of cyber and technology brands hiring talent who have benefitted from our mentors, our impact on the skills requirements in the industry is becoming more evident,” says David Tyler, CEO and founder.
“Once our mentees achieve their short term goals of employment, they can continue to leverage our comprehensive suite of labs, courses, occupational support and interactive mentorship. Like any sector and any career, one is on a journey rather than pursuit of a destination. We built CMD as a destination for any individual wanting to enter, grow, pass exams, achieve goals, and most importantly enjoy their career in this ever-evolving industry,” he adds.
“Information security and cybersecurity are becoming increasingly more complex, and in turn, this poses a challenge for those wishing to start a career in the industry.
We at CMD are committed to supporting aspiring cybersecurity professionals to find a mentor and to help bolster their efforts. Our new platform will facilitate this and more, by delivering mentoring, lessons and content created by professionals; moreover, we aim to encourage a community-driven effort to help people achieve their goals regardless of what stage they are at in their careers,” says Jay Jay Davey, Chief Educational Support Officer.
