Unisys Reports: 63% of consumers report that they are seriously concerned about the threat of Viruses/Hacking

The Unisys Security Index polled 1,000+ Americans and found the following:

  • 63% of consumers report that they are seriously concerned about the threat of Viruses/Hacking with more than half (57%) seriously concerned about Online Shopping and Banking
  • Concerns around Internet Security saw the biggest increase compared to 2018, rising three points
  • When asked about data safety at events, 81% of Americans reported some level of concern about someone stealing their personal data when using public Wi-Fi at such events, with 52% extremely or very concerned
  • In addition, 78% are concerned about someone stealing their credit card data when using public Wi-Fi at such events – with 52% extremely or very concerned
