“MasterMana Botnet” began as early as December 2018 and was still active as of late September 2019. The researchers have associated it to the “Gorgon Group” and show how the threat actors were able to build a moderately sophisticated operation for approximately $160 dollars through the use of 3rd party sites and trojans available for sale on web forums.
