Did companies provide secure devices for COVID-19 work from home shift?

has jump-started the world’s largest work from home experiment. Percona, a global tech company with a 100% remote workforce, recently surveyed 1,000 U.S. adults to have a better understanding of whether or not their company was prepared for this sudden change and found:

Work from home:

  • 64% say their company has not created a new work from home policy in the last 30 days because of coronavirus
  • 41% said they think their company should implement a work from home policy in the next 30 days because of coronavirus
  • 82% said their company was fully capable of switching to a work from home policy
  • 18% said their company had to purchase new software or devices to enable them to work from home
  • 87% said their company provided secure devices or instructions on how to keep your devices secure when working from home

 

Company travel and conference attendance:

  • 56% said their company cancelled attending certain conferences/events in the last 30 days
  • 81% said large conferences and meetings in the upcoming months that require travel should be canceled because of the coronavirus
  • 80% said their company provided information to employees on their actions in response to the coronavirus (i.e. informative emails, posted strategies, etc.)
  • 82% said they are satisfied with the way their company is handling the coronavirus outbreak
  • 70% do not think canceling company travel because of coronavirus is overreacting
  • 71% do not think canceling conferences and meetings because of coronavirus is overreacting
