News Insights:  Symmetry Systems predicts 144% increase in cybersecurity efficacy from ZTNA

A recent Symmetry Systems report predicts a 144% increase in cybersecurity efficacy due to adoption of Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA).

News Insights:

According to Amichai Shulman, CTO and Co-founder of AirEye, “The report presents ZTNA as a preventative measure or a defense in and of itself. While ZTNA reduces the effect of a breach, it does not stop it from happening in the first place. This is because ZTNA comes into effect post-compromise in order to reduce the impact of a breach. Additionally, ZTNA’s micro-segmentation implementation is applicable only to the corporate network whereas the various micro segmentation solutions do not prevent the initial compromise of devices and are only able to control interactions that go through the corporate network. As companies – and the devices and networks they rely on to function – become evermore interconnected, IT teams and CISO’s must look beyond just the wired network itself. They need to consider all attack surfaces, and the necessary controls to address each in order to offer truly holistic protection.”
